B. FINANCIAL
SUPPORT
IASIL has a
limited support fund available to assist members in financial difficulty
to attend the conference. If you wish to make a case for assistance
from the IASIL support fund, please outline your situation in a brief
letter to the Scholarship and Support Committee and enclose a letter
of support from an academic familiar with your work.
To avail of
support fund assistance, you must be a paid-up member of IASIL of
at last two years standing and have your paper proposal accepted.
A track record in Irish literary studies is considered essential for
all applicants.
Applicants for
support fund assistance will be considered by the Scholarship and
Support Committee, whose decisions will be final. The final date for
submission is April 30, 2009. Applicants will be informed of the outcome
of their application by May 27, 2009. Payment of the assistance will
be made at the conference, and is conditional on the delivery of the
proposed paper at the conference.
