A conference dedicated to the memory of Robert E. MacLaury 1944-2004

The conference will be multidisciplinary, although of particular interest to those working in the fields of linguistics, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, and vision science. The intention is to present new, ongoing, and recent research in colour studies, providing a glimpse of the directions in which the various disciplines are heading in their efforts to understand colour in all its aspects. Speakers will be expected to present their research in a way that makes it intelligible to those from other disciplines.

The conference will be held in the WILT conference centre on the main Glasgow University campus, with some meals on site and others in nearby University facilities. Accommodation will be in student rooms (some en-suite) and local hotels, with prices currently ranging from £15-£45 per night. The conference will be rounded off with an excursion into the Scottish Highlands on the following Saturday, provided there is sufficient demand. A booking form with details of charges will be available in summer 2003.
