Scottish GaelicAn Comunn Gàidhealach An Comunn Gàidhealach is a voluntary membership organisation, with charitable status, founded in Oban in 1891 as a vehicle for the preservation and development of the Gaelic language. It actively encourages the teaching, learning and use of the Gaelic language and the study and cultivation of Gaelic literature, history, music and art. Clì Gàidhlig: the voice of Gaelic learners Aims: To promote the learning and national status of Gaelic, To disseminate information on Gaelic and Gaelic affairs, To act as the voice of Gaelic learners and non-native speakers Colmcille Èirinn 's Alba: The vision of Colmcille is "a vibrant interactive Gaelic community spanning Ireland and Scotland". The organisation is named after the 6th century Saint Colum Cille. It works where the Gaelic speakers of Ireland and Scotland meet; and works to bring them together. Colmcille also promotes awareness of Gaelic language and culture: it has offices in Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Sabhal Mòr Ostaig: The degree courses offered by Sabhal Mòr Ostaig are the only degrees in Scotland taught entirely through the medium of Gaelic. They are designed to offer every opportunity for students to gain fluency in the language and to give them a thorough understanding of historical and contemporary Gaelic society in a global context.
