The Scottish Writing Exhibition is a project managed by the Association for Scottish Literary Studies. It was launched in 2004 at the Modern Language Association convention in Philadelphia. We bring the best of Scotland's literary culture to academic conferences, with the aim of encouraging and supporting the study and teaching of Scottish literature internationally. In order to do this, we bring books from a variety of publishers; some send 10 books, some send only 1, and you can be sure that each title is chosen individually for its contribution to our exhibit. The Scottish Writing Exhibition is managed by Gwen Enstam gwen[@]scottishwriting.org.uk and Duncan Jones office[@]asls.org.uk. Visit the ASLS page for a postal address and phone numbers.
Sponsors and supportersThe Literature Department and International Department of the Scottish Arts Council have funded the Scottish Writing Exhibition since 2004. We are also very grateful for SAC funding for The Bottle Imp Scottish Studies ezine since its launch in May 2007. These projects continued to be funded in 2010 by the same body, now called Creative Scotland. We would like to thank VisitScotland for their in-kind contributions to the Scottish Writing Exhibition since 2006, the International Division of the Scottish Government for financial help in 2006, and contributions to the 2006 and 2008 exhibitions, and the Rampant Scotland Directory website for their long-standing support for the Scottish Writing Exhibition and The Bottle Imp.
