Articles on any aspect of Scottish Theatre are welcome. IJOST will publish papers from any perspective, practical or theoretic, theatrical, dramatic, dramaturgic, critical, historical, economic, political, sociological or from any other discipline. It will particularly welcome papers with an interdisciplinary or innovative approach.

The journal's mission is to publish papers on all aspects of theatre in Scotland and on the (re)presentation of Scotland and Scottish theatre on the international stage.

The Editors recognise the vitality and interdisciplinarity of research into Scottish theatre and papers from any disciplinary perspective will be reviewed.
