Registration for the 2000 conference is now open

Please complete a registration form and post it to the University of Glasgow. We are unable to accept registrations or credit card payment electronically.

To register for the conference, print out the form (links below) and post or fax it to the address below with your cheque, purchase order, bankers draft in sterling, or credit card information (Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Delta or Eurocard) to:

Cheques and purchase orders should be made out to University of Glasgow. On receipt of the form, you will be registered but unconfirmed until payment is processed.


The registration form for download is available as Microsoft Word for Windows 2 for PC format or as Microsoft Word 5.1 for Mac format.
If you are unable to use either of these formats there is an image of the application form available here but print quality will be much reduced.

Conference Fees

ALLC/ACH Members: 150
Non-members who are not graduate students: 175
Graduate students: 75
Local rate for University of Glasgow staff: 75
Day rate: 75 per day

The fee covers lunches, teas and coffees, conference proceedings, the conference bag, a name tag, access to all conference sessions and receptions. Accommodation, excursions, and the conference dinner are extra. NB: To ensure accommodation, you must register no later than 31st May (rooms are limited in number and may run out before that date).
Companion to a conference attendee: 25. For this fee you will receive a name tag, access to the opening reception and civic reception, and the opportunity to register for accommodation, social events and the conference dinner.
Late registration additional fee after 31st May: 50

Substitution of delegates may be made at any time up to the start of the conference. In the event of notice of withdrawal from the conference being received earlier than 20 days in advance of the conference, a cancellation charge of 25% will be made to cover administration costs. Refunds for withdrawals after that time cannot normally be made.
